Thought for the Day

Sacrifice

We all know that we need to sacrifice in order to achieve what we want. It costs you money, it costs you time, and its costs you energy. And we all end up being stressed. But what if there are some people who are involved in this sacrifice
and not only yourself? You are doing that sacrifice not only for ourselves but also to other people, for the benefit of both.

You know you should say something to them, but you end up keeping your mouth shut. Just because they will say something to themselves about you? What foolishness. I should really be getting over this attitude of mine. I should speak up, no matter what they say to me. Because i know that it is the best thing to do.

There are really some people who are not worth sacrificing for. Because they seem not to understand what you are doing. It is for their own benefit, and still, they are not doing something about it. I hate those kind of people. People who only depend on others so that they can get the same benefit as the other person who sacrificed. I wish they could realize the same thing.

At the end of the day, those people are still the losers. I did what I know what is right. But at some point, I have the flaws. I did not tell them what my heart was keeping. And so the result was this-- uncooperative members. Still, it is better to be responsible and to show actions from within, not because it is ordered by someone else.

This is life. I hope someday, people would realize certain things, change it, and eventually learn to sacrifice.

Hyper Realistic!

Looks like a photograph right? Don't be fooled by your eyes. It is actually a painting! Whoa! A work by a New York artist Alyssa Monk, the painting looks like a real photo. This type of painting is called hyper realism. Awesome!

It's amazing how she do techniques to achieve the mist and water droplet effects.

Of course, she first capture a photo then use it as its reference when painting. Great work! A really rare talent.

Movie of the Week

Meet Dave (2008)

I watched this movie at home two times. It was hilarious! Starring Eddie Murphy and Elizabeth Banks, this movie gave me stomachaches! It is about a clumsy man named Dave, which is actually a spaceship. Inside are miniature humans who control the ship to find their missing orb that fell on Earth. The amusement began when he started to search for the orb, meeting different people in New York City. However, I found out on Wikipedia that its gross revenue, which was $50M, did not surpass its budget of $55M. Sad. But I liked this movie!

In fact, I have a favorite scene here. Here it goes:

Welcome to Old Navy!

I like "Welcome....... to Old Navy." LOL! The best 'Welcome to Old Navy' there is!

Here's another funny one. I like this, too.

Bee Gees

"Eh, eh, eh, eh! Stayin' alive!" Real funny! The most funny part is when he had a posed smile at the end. LOL!

A good laugh for the whole family.

:D

Florally Inspired

Why am I making poems about flowers nowadays?

My Hibiscus

I thought Hibiscus was only lovely
When I see you wearing that red blossom.
Ah, tropical beauty I've always dreamed!
I wondered-- what could be the difference?

Here's my very first haiku:

The sakura danced
With the sadness of the wind
A rain of petals

Whoa! I'm inspired by lovely flowers! I wonder why. I'm not used to be like this before. In the past, I just ignore them. Now, I began to appreciate those floral beauties by making them my subject to my poems. Maybe I should consider them to be my next favorite subject in photography. :)

Reminisce

A classic poem translated from Japanese by Arthur Waley:

Ono no Yoshiki

"My love

Is like the grasses
Hidden in the deep mountain.
Though its abundance increases,
There is none that knows."

Lovely. I remember something from this poem.
Hmm. Yea right. :)
