Got Busy

Before, I said to myself that I am going to post at my blog everyday. Now, I failed to do it! How sad. I am beginning to get busier and busier. I'm having a hard time finding a slot in my schedule wherein I can go to an internet cafe and post at my blog. It is also costly. Here I am, surfing the net at the computer services section of our library. It's free so I can surf the net as long as I want, but of course, during school hours only.

I am planning to do more to improve my blog. I plan to post photos from my camera, post stuff that interests me, and all. I just regret that it's only now that i discovered the enjoyment of blogging. I knew blogging before, when I was still in high school. I never tried of creating an account because I thought it would be just a waste of time. But now I realized that blogging is interesting. It keeps your thoughts, just like a diary. It reflects the way I am, and how I see the world as a whole. I wish I would never get tired of doing this. Because when I grow old, I can look back again at my past experiences and share it with people whom I would like to see me better as a person.

Thought for the Day

Okay, I know. What I want and think will not always be the final group decision. I 'wanted' the song of our music video to be Break Even by The Script. By the way, the music genre that was assigned to us was Emo music. We had a meeting last Saturday, and we finally decided the song to be Last Look by Chicosci. I did not like it in some way for an unknown reason. I couldn't do something to change the song because I still have no idea about other emo songs.

After that meeting, I went to an internet shop and researched on emo songs. I remembered one song called Break Even by The Script but I did not know what genre was it. I asked at Yahoo Answers and found out that it wasn't an emo song. So I searched again and decided for It's not Over by Secondhand Serenade. But I end up deciding that Last Look would be ok. Because it's what my groupmates have decided.

It is not always that what you want is what you'll always get. Sometimes, you have to give way for the ideas of others. I learned to accept the ideas of others even if I don't like it at some point. At the end, I finally appreciated the song and started to think of creative ways on how to make that piece a good music video.

A First in May

It's my first post in the month of May!

Today is our clan reunion. I decided to leave because I feel bored. LOL. I'll just watch a good movie. And make preparations for our music video project. Yeah! Exciting... ;D

The 10th

Yes! My tenth blog post. My favorite number!
Anyway, I'm starting to love blogging. Keep blogging!

Struggling for a Music Video

We have to make a music video. Genre? EMO! I am having a hard time deciding what song we would make a music video. My group mates said "Last Look" by Chicosci. Hmm. I find the song...complicated, confusing, whatever. If I'm the one who would decide, I'd say "Break Even" by The Script:

Break Even
The Script

I’m still alive but I’m barely breathing,
Just prayed to a god that I don’t believe in,
‘Coz I got time while she got freedom,
‘Coz when a heart breaks no it don’t break even.

Her best days will be some of my worst,
She finally met a man that’s gonna put her first,
While I’m wide awake, she’s no trouble sleeping,
‘Coz when a heart breaks no it don’t break even, even no.

What am I supposed to do when the best part of me was always you
What am I supposed to say when I’m all choked up and you’re ok
I’m falling to pieces
I’m falling to pieces

They say bad things happen for a reason
But no wise words gonna stop the bleeding
‘Coz she’s moved on while I’m still grieving
And when a heart breaks no it don’t break even, even no.

What am I supposed to do when the best part of me was always you
What am I supposed to say when I’m all choked up and you’re ok
I’m falling to pieces, yeah
I’m falling to pieces, yeah
I’m falling to pieces, (One still in love while the other one’s leaving)
I’m falling to pieces, (‘Coz when a heart breaks no it don’t break even)

You got his heart and my heart and none of the pain,
You took your suitcase, I took the blame.
Now I’m tryna make sense of what little remains, oh.
‘Coz you left me with no love, with no love to my name.

I’m still alive but I’m barely breathing,
Just prayed to a god that I don’t believe in,
‘Coz I got time while she got freedom,
‘Coz when a heart breaks no it don’t break, no it don’t break, no it don’t break even no.

What am I supposed to do when the best part of me was always you
What am I supposed to say when I’m all choked up and you’re ok
I’m falling to pieces, yeah
I’m falling to pieces, yeah
I’m falling to pieces, (One still in love while the other one’s leaving)
I’m falling to pieces, (‘Coz when a heart breaks no it don’t break even)
Oh, it don’t break even, no
Oh, it don’t break even, no
Oh, It don’t break even, no

Fruits of Creativity

I had a hard time with group work this week. The first one was to make a PowerPoint presentation on Expressionism, and the other one was a little skit.

Our PowerPoint presentation went out good. I think our goal was fulfilled. That is to clarify to our classmates the principles and techniques of Expressionistic paintings. However, I had to make sacrifices. We have to present a presentation that is not texty. As we all know, texty presentations are all boring, all those reading the text and all. What I wanted to emphasize was the use of key concepts only, and not "copy-paste from the Internet" style. I always make presentations that are brief and easy to understand because I want my audience to fully embrace what I wanted to say. I also wanted to appreciate them the efforts that I made just to inform them with our assigned topic. I think the result of our work was good, because our instructor made a comment that he had nothing else to add because it's all there in our report. Good job!

The second one was a skit. I was one of the two characters there. I have to download the appropriate music for that so it will set the proper mood in our play. I have to memorize lines. I have to internalize. Whew, it was stressful. But that's ok, because ours turned out to be great even though I did some script-reading while performing (I couldn't do it perfectly because we just rehearsed like one hour before the class!). Our classmates appreciated what we've done and they liked it. Another good job! Way to go! :)

Love this Song!

One of my fave songs-- Collide by Howie Day:

Collide

Howie Day

The dawn is breaking
A light shining through
You're barely waking
And I'm tangled up in you
Yeah

I'm open, you're closed
Where I follow, you'll go
I worry I won't see your face
Light up again

Even the best fall down sometimes
Even the wrong words seem to rhyme
Out of the doubt that fills my mind
I somehow find
You and I collide

I'm quiet you know
You make a first impression
I've found I'm scared to know I'm always on your mind

Even the best fall down sometimes
Even the stars refuse to shine
Out of the back you fall in time
I somehow find
You and I collide

Don't stop here
I lost my place
I'm close behind

Even the best fall down sometimes
Even the wrong words seem to rhyme
Out of the doubt that fills your mind
You finally find
You and I collide

You finally find
You and I collide
You finally find
You and I collide
